Default ARAI support

Im all for Arai or die....I've only ridden Honda and I've only ridden Arai. Anyway, I have an Arai Quantum/f that is about 5 years old but it has plenty of solid shelf time (manufactured in 99, bought new in 01, used for 1.5 years as a passenger helmet (rare useage), sat for 3 years, used for less than a year)

I went back and forth with online support who were incredible and extremely prompt and after only one message from me, one message from arai, one message from me, I got this message (in less than two days!)

Arai3/16/2007
Mr. Goldberger: OK, let`s get it in here so we can check it over. If it checks out OK, we`ll go ahead and fix it. Ship it to: Arai Helmet Americas 5921 Colony Dr. Bethlehem, PA 18017 Please reference this ID#58 on the box and send along a copy of this blog for my reference. Brian

I guess what I'm asking is has anyone shipped out their helmet? how should I pack it? how long should I expect it to be gone for? they'll be covering the shipping back to me? If they test it for integrity and its no good, theyll still send it back yes, just might not replace the little black lip that went missing from the bottom front rim of the helmet? THANKS!

i'd say stuff it inside and around with bubble wrap or peanuts and get a box that fits it the tightest so it stays in place. sounds like they offer some really good service!
