So here is an update on this project. I set up powder coating in my basement and coated my rear rim with a custom touch. I coated Hurricane into the rim. I have installed the rim along with a new rear tire, bearings, chain and sprockets. Front tire has been removed and will hopefully be getting coated soon.

So it has been a while since i have updated this. I have since powder coated the front tire and put in new bearings and tire. I have also done new pads front and back. Rebuilt both of the front calipers. And I have lower the bike by extending the dog bone 3/8". I have fiberglassed together 3 main cowls to make one full piece. Reassembled the entire body and replaced all the light bulbs. As of yesterday this project is registered, licensed and insured. I drove it for about 2 hours yesterday and another hour tonight. Everything seems to be working good except one fork seal is bad and the alternator may not be functioning properly.

Red, the regulator rectifier are a weak point on these bikes, easy way to check is to put a multimeter on the battery and give it a rev, should be above 13v at 3000rpm.
Electrex or Rick`s make a heavy duty replacement if needed or you can try a cheap Chinese one off E-bay.....bit of a luck of the draw with quality.
