Default Hello from phoenix

just rode my brand new 600RR home from the dealer today.

It's my first bike.

I can't wait to do some top speed runs on the highway tonight, then maybe practice wheelies and stoppies in the walmart parking lot!

just kidding. it IS my first bike, but i'm a methodical and steady kind of guy. I look forward operating/maintaining this machine to its full and SAFE potential. And i'm happy to start on a Honda.

tips/suggestions are encouraged

Welcome to the forum Jackers.
Probably best to stay out of the Walmart lot anyway. Too many crazy people trying to park there...
Sweet first ride you got there. Don't be stupid, wear the right gear always even though Phoenix is hot and doesn't require helmets. I love the fact that there is a choice to wear one there, and do whenever I'm over the state line.

Thanks.

I always wear a helmet and jacket at the bare minimum regardless of distance traveled or state laws. buying this bike put a pretty nice dent in my treasury but as soon as I recover I'm planning on nice head to toe gear.

Congrats on getting your first bike. You really had me going w/ your comment til you said you were kidding! ;-)

The best recommendation is suggesting that you take the MSF Course Motorcycle Safety Foundation. It will pay huge dividends down the road (pardon the pun). ;-)

Welcome to CBRF. :-)
