Whatever you do, I dont advise you to get a digital gauge, because those, in my experience, are not at all reliable. Also, WalMart and CycleGear sell black reflective tape

I researched this a bit and one that many different places (including a BMW owner's site) recommend is the RoadGear Digital Gauge. Here's a review: http://www.webbikeworld.com/r2/rg/air/air.htm
It costs about $15, but I found out that Radio Shack carries this exact same gauge, except without the Silver paint for $3.00, so I got one of those. It's a talking gauge, which is a little annoying (the Radio Shack one also has an English/Spanish option (!)) No problems so far, and I use it almost every day (my back tire's a slow leaker). I figure if it dies in a month I'm only out $3. I've had some bad luck with the "old reliable" pen-type gauges. One of them was consistently off by 5-10 lbs!

i would suggest snap-on, very reliable and i like the spring return. had one for2.5 yrs while working at the dealership and had no qualms with this product. always gave good readout when tested beside other new gauges.

Hi, i've used my snap on, and i'm not using one that i bought from Lockhart-Philips. I'm a tech at a bike dealership and these do the trick just fine. If you are racing then you may want something that is super precise. I think now motion-pro make some professional tire pressure gauges. They are glycerin filled, and i don't know how that makes the difference but it does. But if you are not a racer, and just a weekend warrior around the canyons...the cheapy stick ones will do just fine...because the fact that you are worried about tire pressure and willing to check it on a regular basis, makes you a much better person than most people that own motorcycles out there. I get so many that run street bikes with 20 psi and less when i service them. And they wonder why i recommend tires all the time when they are cupped! Well good luck in your selection. Let me know which one you get and how well it works

I got a snap on one too i love it so accurate. btw surfn since you work at a bike dealership and you said low pressure would cause cupping is that true? Would it cup in 2-3days around 50-60miles or so? Cuz i checked my pressure one day (stupid me will do it once a day now) and i was at 20-22 psi warm. I asked a bunch of people if low pressure could cause cupping and no one ever gave me a straight answer.

low pressure will most DEFINITELY cause cupping. But keep in mind that ALL sportbikes front tires will cup, especially the right side because of on and off ramps.
