Guage lights and temp guage dont work.
Hey everyone, So i recently picked up a 98 F3 and noticed that my temp guage and cluster lights are not working at all. The speedo and RPM guage work but not the temp. I checked all the light bulbs in the back an all seem good. I checked my fuses, have enough coolent and my fan works. I also checked the plug ins to the cluster and everything is good. I am stumped. Anyone have any recommedations of what else to check for the light and guage? My next step is to check the thermo sensor. Thanks in advance
if i remember correctly all the cluster lights share the same ground, i would find which pin on the connectors goes to the ground and check for continuity to the ground terminal on your battery.
as for the temp gauge, could be a loose wire from the thermostat, the gauge itself could be bad, or it could be on the same ground as the cluster lights.
so if you dont have one already, go buy a digital multimeter and get troubleshooting!
