Default Hi new here n need help

Firstly i apoligise if im in the wrong place, i am new to the forum and a new rider.

I am 40 years old and passed my cbt in november.

I brought a cbr125r 2007 plate its been working ok but my first couple of rides out i noticed that it would start to lose power if i put it in 5th gear like it was slowly dying to the point that i woyld have to down gear to 4th but if i gunned it im 4th then changed to 5th and kept the revs fairly high it would be ok and ride fine in 5th, well the next thing is i dont know if it is related or not.

Ok so when i got the bike the gear lever was snapped at the end so a coyple of days a go i brought a new lever and changed it went out for a ride and now when i put it in 4th gear it revs very high so i drop the throttle off then trottle back up and its fine but now in that gear it is doing the same as it does when im in 5th gear, it seems like when i first put it into 4th the clutch seems to be slipping but then when i let the throttle go then throttle back up the clutch seems to be working again.

Im sorry its a bit long but its my first bike.

I hipe someone can explain this to me

Hey Spider, I'm sorry to be the voice of doom buddy but the CBR125s are renowned for having bad engines and well known for having gearbox issues I've known a few lads over here in the UK that have had nothing but trouble with them. All I can say is try and get it sorted to a reasonable extent and get rid either that or take the motor out and look around for something with a bit of get up and go. I would favor the NS125 or MBX125 motor then have the frame engine mounts changed out to take it use all the electrics for that motor such as CDI harness etc and sort the exhaust mount difference and "then you'll not only have a good looing bike but one that will be reliable "and quick.
