first oil change
#2
Mostly just an oil change and all the bolts and other parts that can vibrate loose are checked. If its a brand new bike then all the moving parts inside the engine are being rotated/vibrated/revolved for the first time and you will get very fine metal particles in the oil.
Its always good on a new bike to change the oil after a few hundred miles to get rid of these fine metal shavings before they might cause any damage. Its all part of the break in period of a new bike. Have only owned one brand new bike though so it was the first time I had to deal with this.

Before even starting the bike for the first time, take out the factory oil and put in break in oil. After 100km dump the break in oil and put back factory oil.
