They are a great alternative to a scooter and for new riders, otherwise I don't see the point of a 250.

A lot of people ride and race ninja 250's, maybe someone buys one of these, rides it for a couple seasons, gets another bike for street duty (ala 600rr) and turns it into a track only bike?
I mean they are dead-nuts cheap to buy and maintain, and are quite a bit faster than a scooter; I imagine they are a great bike for any off highway duty, and they handle really well.
