Are there any mods available for the CBR250R?

Once its on the market, there will be a proliferation of mods. Exhausts, intake filters, power commander etc. Maybe an HRC kit top-end similar to what was available for the CBR125R.

This bike will be a big seller, similar to Kawi's 08+ Ninja 250R

I read/watched a review of the CBR250 vs the Ninja250R - basically it came down to the single cyl vs the dual cyl. single was gruntier down low, the double was better up high, but it was stated due to the lack of power of the two bikes that the ninja250 was the winner of the comparo.. link below:

I don't know, I ride an F4i but I've always been intrigued by these small displacement bikes, and during the MSF course I rode a 250cc V-twin, and in the parking lot that thing was awesome, kinda wanted to buy one.. but I didn't, my 600F4i was cheaper than a new-ish 250 so I went with it instead. Maybe I'll check one of these out as a secondary bike...

Fuel injection vs Carb. The Kawi is faster in torque, but the Honda is a better bike. Waiting patiently for this to hit our dealership.

Unless your riding up and down a mountain all day, a well setup carb is just as good as fuel injection on a day to day basis. The carbs on Honda's 99/00 CBR600F4 were simply amazing - pretty much Apex.
If you start changing parts around or want to tune, Fuel injected is defiantly easier. I remember swapping jetting around in my F2 and F4.. trying to get it perfect. My F4i trackbike now I simply walk up with my laptop, load up a new map to the PC3 and I'm rocking. That aspect of FI I love.

SPR-GRN, I went from an F2 & F4 down to a 1992 CBR250RR and my wife bought an 08 Ninja 250R. At first I noticed the speed but after 2 years of only riding a 250, Its normal! It will feel quick to you. It felt like quite the jump back onto a 600. I still love my 250's and my 250RR is sorted enough to keep up with and pass 600's in the twisty stuff.

Good intro that goes over all the features. Good footage from Sport Rider Magazine.

i use to be skeptical about 250 sport bikes but the more i see them here, the more i like them. i think they are great and in the future i might even buy one for everyday commute.

syphen, i love the way your 250 looks, the only better looking one is the castrol 250 but thats just my opinion (i love castrol colors). other words, i think its sexy.

Thanks, it was never sold in castrol colors however. There is a few out there, and even ebay fairing kits in that color scheme.

Here is a CBR250RR with Tyga Fairings in the Castrol colors - its sharp:

When I first got my 250RR, I thought about doing the Tyga fairings, but I really have a soft spot for old boxy sportbikes of the late 80's, early 90's. So I kept my bike stock and just fixed it up. It polarizes people. Some people think it looks like an old junky bike and thats fine. Some people like the looks as it reminds them on the classic RC30 and RC45 bikes in mini-scale. Some people realize the engineering that went into this bike. Its almost a page out of the classic Honda GP bikes of the 60's when 4 and 6 cylinder 250's and 125's were screaming around the TT. Back in the late 80's, the 600's and 1000's did not rev past 13 or 14 thousand rpm. Then there was this little inline 4 revving up to 19500 rpm and screaming the whole way. Very cool from that aspect.

I haven ridden one of these I have to say they are very nice, nice riding position but I dont really like the looks for a sports bike that is, I only rode it around a field but it felt smooth and is very light!!

I wont be getting one as Im huge and neext the grunt of a 600 to pull me along
