you've got that backwards - OEM specs 36-Front , 42-Rear.

25 definitely seems too low IMO. I've only ever seen track riders running pressures that low. Almost all street riders use something in the 30's. But its all personal preference. Switch it up and go for a ride. You should be able to tell which feels better.

I'll also say if the steering feels too heavy with the proper pressures, you might need your steering bearings adjusted. Mine had loosened up and was popping some, so I tightened mine - I wasn't able to do the test that the manual suggests with the spring scale, so I worked in small increments. I got the popping to stop, but the steering felt a lot slower and on the road almost felt like it was searching for a path.

I made an incremental change on the adjuster nut, like 2mm of rotation - didn't even take the upper triple off. Made all the difference - now I have no popping, and the bike feels responsive again.
