Found my calling...I think.
Yesterday I was at the motorcycle shop (Honda, Suzuki, Ducati) looking at bikes when I started talking to a couple about bikes. We went from one bike to another and shared opinions about each. I quoted HP, torque, weight and obvious differences in the bikes we were checking out. Truthfully, I was just hanging out talking about bikes. I gave him my opinion/facts on which bike I thought was the correct one for him and we chatted further. Then he asked me what kind of finance options we offered?...I was puzzled for a second until I realized that he thought I was a sales person. The look on his face was priceless when I explained to him that I was just looking and dreaming.
The next day I went in and started to talk to the sales people to see how knowledgeble they were about the bikes. I asked simple questions like HP, Torque, power to weight ratio and other basic info that they should have known. I kept getting the same response..."I will have to look that up for you". I asked about Moto GP...same answer. Within five minuets I was grabbing an application and talking to a manager. They said they weren't hiring sales people at this point in time, but he would schedule an interview with the owner anyways because he liked my attitude. I only want to do this part time because I like my night job as a bartender and I make decent money doing it. However, I would love to work around bikes all day and make a few bucks on the side!
Wish me luck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
