Anyone ride a chopper?
Does anyone here ride a chopper? (one of those chromed, stretched, straight pipe, rigid jobs?)
I find myself feeling really sorry for the rider when I see one of those bikes -- all that money for no handling, feeling every bump in the road, and hearing loss. I'm just wondering if I'm way off base and there is something really enjoyable about riding one of those things, or if the whole purpose and 'joy of the ride' is just to be seen and admired.

I bought a $100 beater in January, a '79 Yam XS400.
On a "dare" or "challange" I set off on a state wide $500 or less bike build off...ripped into the XS for the engine, electical and drive sytems and a 82 KZ305 single backbone frame I hasd a clear title on.
From there I got stupid...
Daily rider???? HELL NO! Handles like a loadsed cement truck and turns like a bulldozer... But it IS kinda fun to scoot around on sometimes.
