Anyone know about A Triumph Daytona?
Anyone know or hear anythign about these bikes, I have one sitting out in our office parking lot, havn't talked to the owner yet but the bike looks light. It reminds me of a skinny RR. So who knows about these bikes? Honestly I have never heard of Triumph as a bike company until only recently.

Daytonas are great bikes. You would certainly be in a small class of people who have practically a 1000cc bike with just 3 cylinders. And with an aftermarket pipe, the tone is simply maddening. They are pretty light bikes. The fuel tanks are a composite plastic, not steel which saves some weight. Is it a pre- 2001? If so, the single-sided swingarm looks really trick. The downside is that it is a British bike and with British stuff comes British electronics (may prove to be a hassle). But a buddy of mine has a yellow '99 Daytona and while its not as fast as a CBR 1000RR, its definitely fun riding with him and hearing the exhaust and talking to people about it as it is a somewhat unique bike.

DDVS you don't mention which daytona it is. the old 600 was a bit of a dog with doggy electronic fuelling. i've heard good reports opn the new 675 which also loks the part. the 955i is getting a bit dated now with the new 1050 engine taking centre stage.
as a bit i ought to fly the flag but with age comes experience..........................hence the honda
remember, whatever you ride, keep it rubber side down
