Question Cbr600rr vs triumph daytona 675

Hey guys, some people have told me that a Triumph Daytona 675 would be a better bike for me because it is a taller bike, and since I am 6'4 and I weigh about 240, I think I need a taller bike. I also have a girlfriend who weighs about 125, who I'd love to take on rides. Do you guys think that is too much weight on the bike? And if it is, what would be a good bike that would allow me to bring her along? Please, don't even mention cruisers or Harleys...They're not my thing.

Anyways, any help would be great! Even if it's you telling me how tall you are and which bike you ride! I just need some info, thanks!

First, never let your girlfriend know you posted her weight on our forum

With gear I'd say you two would roughly weigh in around 385# . I have no idea what the max weight is for the 600 ... all I can find for the new models is what they weigh. Which is only a smidge more than you and your girlfriend.

I'm 6' and 190ish and pretty comfy on my 1kRR. Only ride with the woman occasionally and the bike has no problems toting us both.

im around 6'1 pushin 230 and ive had a normal sized girl on the back and it was fine, obviously it didnt have the razor sharp handling and acceleration it does with just me but it works just fine... its not like your going to be racing with your girl on the back

but just for yourself a 600rr would be fine, a taller bike doesnt really matter because most likely the distance between the seat and the pegs will be the same (or very similar) anyway... if anything going for an f4i might be a good thing to look at cause it has a more relaxed riding position. But just go to a couple dealers and sit on different bikes and see what feels best. Good luck on the search

Have you looked at the Honda ST 1200 or the Triumph Trophy? Both are Sport/Touring and have a sport stance and look but are built to be loaded. They handle very well also. Both are a joy to ride and have removable hard bags. which if you have a girl along, the bags are great, take em off and your back to a sport bike.....

I hate to mention Suzuki, but if you are worried about the power of a 600 with your lady on the back, then look at a GSX-R 750.
