Went in to look seriously at a ninja 250, waiting for a black one. Pretty sure I was going to get one. Mainly because of the price. Looks great but ???? performance. I'm thinkin it will be quite slow but not any slower than any cruiser that I have ridden.

While I was looking they had a left over 07 Z1000. I have always been interested in a streetfighter. It basically cost twice as much as a ninja 250. Still way lower than the normal msrp. Read reviews and they all say the same thing. Fun blah blah blah but soft suspension and not very stable turning. A little front end unstablility in turns.

Does anyone have this bike or has ridden it and if so how is it?

 

I have never rode one, butI love them and almost bought one. They are strange bikes, but cool.

 

I have a 06 Buell Lightning. Similar to the z1000. I have to say, its the most "fun" bike I have ridden. It wont win any popularity contests, or break any land speed records But it gives me perma-grin everytime I ride it.

 

The Z1000 is a I4 not a V-twin. The Z engine is a revamped ZX9 engine and it like 953cc's. I rally wanted one and I still may get one down the road. One good thing about the Z is the price is not bad and the insurance is not to bad eaither.
