Default Z1000

I had some time to kill this weekend so I went and looked at bikes. I love the Kaw Z1000. I sat on an 07 left over and it was so nice and fit me well. The MSRP was about $8700 and they said I could have the 07 for $7999.00 plus tax. If my truck was sold and I had the cash right now I would have bought it that day. I still want to keep the F4 and I will be a Honda fan till the day I die, but the Z1000 is just sexy as hell and comfortable.

I also sat on a 08 R6 SE and it was so light, but I did not touch well at all on it and was to hunched over on it.

So if the truck sells this spring I may end up getting a Z1000 to add to the fleet. IfI get one it will most likely be a used one with low miles to save some bucks.

The R6, for me, didn't fit quite well either. I recently got a Cycle World (I think... that was many airports ago) magazine that put the 08 R6 up against the 07/08 Honda 600RR. The r6 only had 3 more ponies above 14K rpms... while the Honda was making THIRTEEN more horsepower at like, 7K rpms... and held a HP lead all the way up to 14K. They said the R6 was a better machine than last years... but it still didn't win favor over the honda.

On the other note... I don't think I've checked out the Kaw z1000... I'll have to go see if I can't put an eye on one. Glad you sound like you had a good time!

I like the z1000, the pipes are hideous, but I really like the ergos and the rest of thelook. My next bike will have less fairings and plastic on it.

I agree the pipes suck! they are just gross, but over all the bike is killer.

I did have a good time looking and to tel you the truth. When I got home and the garage door opened and I seen my old F4 sitting there all clean it made me like her even more.

Like I said the truck has to sell before I can get another bike so I'm going to put it up for sale in about a month or so.

Yes Jules-The 04 awsome as well.

I've got a buddy who has one. He looks weird riding it, like he's on a dirtbike... elbows out, shoulders a bit hunched and his feet rest even with his knee.

I don't like 'em. To me, they're too close to a cruiser as far as the riding style goes. If I was going to get a cruiser, I'd get a VFR, now THAT is a comfy bike that still looks hawt.

Meh - it's your decision to make, just don't expect me to like it!

Does this look better?

I like the the look of the pipes, they remind me of something else.

I like the naked look of the bike and the more upright seating. I come from Dirt bikes and qauds so that may be why I'm so comfortable on it. Like I said I want to keep the CBR as well. THe CBR would be more the city bike and the Z would be my road trip bike.

We'll just have to see if the truck sells and how much insureance would be for both bikes.

THe VFR is a nice bike, but it's not a naked bike and that's what I want for a second bike.

I like it...I don't even mind the exhausts...it's all just part of the funky look and they suit the styling...I like that street, urban city look...I always have liked naked bikes, harks back to the old days...I like the hornet too...naked version of the cbr600...your weight is off your wrists with these bikes....that's the trouble though isn't it...we'd all have about 3 different bikes if we could...lol
