Rode 50 miles (80 km) to our company's NJ office this morning. It was around 30 F (-1 C) when I left Brooklyn, and maybe 24 F in NJ when I arrived, with winds gusting to around 30 mph. I was reasonably comfortable until the last 15 minutes or so, when my hands got very cold. But it wasn't fun, and from now on I don't think I'll ride this far in below-freezing temperature unless absolutely necessary. I'm becoming a wimp in my old age.

What a December. We've had 4f mornings, a record. 18" inches of snow, a record. Today was 65f, record? Got a few miles in. First in maybe 3 weeks or more. Thanks for the tease Mother Nature. One of the trips on the bike today was to get some winter running clothes, I know whats coming next!
