Is your helmet too tight?
I can change the padding?! I didnt know that...
is it easy to change? and where can I find some?
the just snap in. Any place that sells em should be able to get the pads too.
FYI I can't wear Shoei at all my head is too oval. Arai RX-7 fits my perfect. My dad wears a shoei x-11 which is their most oval and he loves. Go to the store when you have time, and wear the medium for about thirty minutes. When you take it off you will know if was too tight. Throbbing headache and a huge red mark will be tell-tale.
Cheaks are easy fix. Most helmets these days can be fitted with varing degrees of pads and liners.

damn I looked at the X Eleven and I want it. But it is $500?!
hey guys thanks again I think once I try out the different cheekpads i will be good to go! I love the shoei look!

I say if that is what fits the best then it is worth every penny. I would love to be able to wear a scorpion, but I get a Migrane after about 20 minutes of wear. Couldn't even sit through one episode of scrubs and it had to come off.
That is why I paid the money for my Arai, did not want to, but if I am going to ride any further than around the block to look cool, I need a helmet that fits.

FWIW, I wear an EXO-400 (or 700? don't remember). When I bought it, I thought it was way too tight. It actually left marks on me some and had to be pulled out a bit to get it to fit. About 8-9 months later now, it feels too loose. Within just about 2 weeks it quit feeling so tight though.
If it isn't hurting your head, it probably isn't too small and just needs to break in.

Great advice so far,
If your main issue is the cheek pads, you can buy new smaller ones like already mentioned, or do what I did with my aria, If the cheek pads have removable covers on them, just pull the cheek pads out, remove the cover and trim a little of the foam down until you get the perfect fit. Chances are pretty good even if you buy a smaller cheek pad, it will still not fit your face exactly. You know where your tight spots are and can trim those away. sometimes even an 1/16 inch makes a huge difference, so if you do it, go little by little. I am speaking of only the cheek pads though, theres nothing you can do if the upper portion doesn't fit.
+1 on you bought a helmet from a reputable guy. So many people out there buy a helmet that is far too big. I can't count how many people I see that have an xlarge helmet and there head is smaller than mine, and I wear a medium.
