nah, i don't personally like them. it seems that they have released the same songs over and over for years, only with different titles. it just sounds too fake; and for me, personally, when soccer moms can rock to something, its just not cool anymore.

actually, i've realized i feel this way about most nu-metal type bands in general. just not my thing i guess.

He lives in New Orleans. I'm the only white guy in Louisiana that hates rap music. Everyone else here hate rock and lissons to rap.

 

im down with rap too...

 

i definitely love metal and punk rock, and new orleans and metairie had a hell of a punk scene when i was in high school. there was always a show somewhere on wednesday, or friday, or saturday with local groups ripping it up. and i could only imagine how much moreso back in the 80s. i do not however like nu metal, it just doesnt really appeal to me.

same thing goes for rap. i like rap music, but a lot of it is just the exact same bull**** with a picture of a different guy on the cover. most of it just doesn't appeal to me. but every so often, i find something i like. its just a bit too popular right now, what with all the teenage catholic school girls in the area rockin the rap in their car stereo.

to me, the best music is underground, local, independent its gotta feel like it's inspired by more than wanting to sell a million records by telling people (the mtv crowd, soccer moms, 15y/o white catholic ganster girls) what they want to hear. you get the idea
