There are a lot of obscure bands that totally deserve their obscurity. And some bands may be briefly popular, but then five or ten years later they become objects of ridicule. However, of bands that have been around for a while, my list of the ones who have the lowest ratio of quality to fame is:

Pink Floyd
Rush
Journey/Foreigner/Styx/Kansas/Boston (all really the same band)
Supercramp
Grateful Dead
Van Halen

I'm sure I can think of some others who immediately cause me to change the radio station (Immediately, because they're played so damn often that I can recognize them right away).

I hate rap/ hip-hop too... Another band I wish would shut teh FU** UP is Nickleback. I hate those guys. Nobody's putting out any original and or talented material anymore besides maybe a handful.

 

Was this a typo??? Next you are gonna say Aerosmith and The Who sucked. Hell throw in the Beatles and Ramones while you are at it.

 

The Greatful Dead. I just never got it I supose."Dead Heads"wtf, with their patchuli stink, hacki sacks, and tie die. Did all these people move back into their parent's basements when Garcia died?

Boy this started something, I'm supprised by a lot selected worst bands, considering that a lot of the older ones are still selling albums. But I guess familiarity breeds contempt. I can agree with Air Supply, went to school with Mario Mello(spelling) & he was a dick then. But I can't stand Bums & Noses (stick one finger up your Bum & another up your Nose) and sing Wa Wa Wa Sweet Child of O Mine (sound familiar?). Used to like a few Rap songs from years ago, but when you see some overweight guy in a silver jump suit, croutch 3 inches from the ground, obigatory bandana, covered in Bling from Woolworths, obviously busting for a pee, cos he keeps grabbing himself, (cue slightly overweight girls in to small shorts wiggling backsides), film it in some alley or warehouse for cred, yeah thats (C)Rap music. But my current hate-hate-hate, oh boy, HATE, is Bjork (pronouced Dork) especailly after she beat that women up at the airport in Thailand, for wot the women said to her, ("Welcome to Thailand"!!) Can't stand performers who make a living off their celebrity & get pissed off when their bothered by people that recognise them, don't want to be famous, then don't be.
