My opinion is you will always be able to find something you hate about your job, no matter what you do. It kind of sounded like money wasthe issue when you originally posted. If I absolutely dreaded and hated what I did, I would make a change. Being miserable 40+ hours a week for your whole life is not an option for me. Fortunately, I only hate my job sometimes.

I have a lot of pressure on the job, but I'm the lead engineer for one of the 3 credit bureaus and we can't have servers (he have hundreds and hundreds in 3 data centers) go offline. The hours can get long but I get a $20,000.00 bunus on top of an amazing salary so I can deal with it. Plus I make decisions on the new technologies we use going forward. zoo00mm...
If the job sucks, leave it. And by the way, you asked if anyone else was hating their job earlier in the thread, and when someone answered *no* you need to accept the answer. You asked.
