Windows Mojave
Microsoft isn't putting out a new software for any of you that misunderstood the hilariousness of this. Windows mojave is a marketing scheme they're using by disguising windows vista as a new operating system they've called windows mojave. They trick people into trying it to see if they like it. Then they break the news to the people that it is actually windows vista.
Oh n for the Mac OS X fans, try it on anything less than a G4 n a Gig of ram n see how well ya like it. And all it is, is a fluffied Darwin kernel (BSD). Good stuff but still lol.

Anyone who knows anything about a computer knows that windows vista is a programming nightmare and compatibility is terrible.
I'm managing a few labs at work. Here is my opinion of Operating Systems - a good operating system is an operating system you don't notice.

Ubuntu 7.1 on my laptop, Mac on my desktop and I manage too many 2003/2008 servers to count. I have XP and Vista in the enterprise and they are both rock solid. I personally don't know anyone that uses Vista that has it crash every 10 minutes, unless they're complete freakin no0bs.

Anyone else using Linux ?
Anyone else using Linux ?

The thing is - only gamers should require top end gear. Word processors worked just fine on a 486, win95, and maybe 256 mb of ram.
YouTube, winamp - don't need memory. Why is it ok to blow resources in an OS, when it's REAL job is to just manage resources and let users run software? The OS runs stuff - the applications do stuff. When you blur that line you get Vista.
Linux - I use it for servers, and I use it for one or two personal machines... otherwise winxp is stable, LEGALLY free for me, and is compatible with everyone elses stuff. I have very little need to play games finding something that "also works" or "works better" when I have no problems with XP and hardware built in the last 6-8 years.

All you whineyass cry babies need stuck to a cmdline interface for a awhile.

I just have to ask -
Windows XP on a clean 5 year old system, with Office 2001... versus a brand new vista machine with Office 2007. Which one prints a better document? Which one browses the internet better? Which one is cheaper?

Very few people need a new computer - most people just need to clean their **** off their old ones.
