RE: why hasn't anyone asked this
I would be more than happy to help anyone out if they want to learn to ride. I can't drag a knee or anything, but I have taken the MSF course, as well as read 3 notable books on riding. I have about 3000 miles under my belt.
Funny story about riding someone else's bike: a good friend of mine is thinking about getting a bike. I had ridden mine to his house (his roommate rides a Busa). He wanted to ride my 600 to see if he should get a 600 or something bigger. I said HELL NO! He finally talked his roommate into letting him ride his Busa. "Come on man, I'm just going down the street and back." He was weating a T-shirt, shorts, and FLIP-FLOPS (no lie) and a helmet.
He stood up a wheelie, got sideways, and ended up tackiling the Busa in the grass. Never even made it 50ft.
