Because this world is ****in nuts and if I hadn't found something like riding and riding related activities to do to help get away from it all, I would have probably killed myself months ago.

Dark side of the moon is my all time favourite album & Floyd would have to be one of my favourite bands. 'Set the controls for the heart of the Sun' is one song I play often.
I've been asked why I ride many times & I say the same thing's as most people do, "Feels like flying", "You're one with the road" & so on. But in truth I've never been happy with my explanation's as it does not really capture the feeling, my as well ask me why I breathe. We put up with a lot in order ride, they are not safe, they cost a lot more to insure, as riders, we are on the bottom of the pole with regards to rider safety & awareness campaigns & the general public either hate us or fear us & most ignore us (I didn't see him officer") & they certainly don't understand us. I think that's why we love to get involved with other riders, most of the gatherings I've been on, the conversation is like a release of all the pent up joy, as they all understand the feeling.

Maybe it's the fresh air & all those expensive modifications you can do to you're bike.

Why do you ride a bike?

I ride a bike to get/stay in shape. I love riding and it's a great way to exercise and occasionally challenge myself in a 24-hr race or some other long distance event.

I ride a motorcycle because of its performance factor at a relatively low cost and it's a fun thing to do (except when I get caught in the rain).
