Why do people hate on FORD?

I have worked on 'em all, and I will say that besides the foreign stuff, the Fords are the least likely of the domestics to leave people stranded. GM's with some miles on the clock will definately leave people stranded, and in my honest opinion, Chrysler product are some of the most cheaply built crap on the planet. I will never own a Chrysler. GM's have had problems with fuel pumps, intake gaskets, Dex-crap, rear disc brakes, catalytic converters, always having running lights out, northstar oil leaks, etc, etc for the longest time. They all have their problems, but I would own a newer for pickup.

The Ford GT supercar is an amazing vehicle (obv)
And my uncle has a mint white 98 svt cobra... It has under 15k miles... literally show room condition one time he just pulled it out of the garage and entered it in a competition and won first place... didnt have to wash it or anything...
355 HP and he drives it the way it should be driven, burn outs, drifts... etc he told me a few times he went to this road called the Berlin Turnpike and stomped on all the riced civics cold air intake ricer cars you know? and other modified cars and when in second gear the car feels like its on ice its awesome ford's straight with me

Ford is a good company, but i simply hate their cars, my ex-girlfriend has a ford focus and she needed to go back to the dealer 3 times the first month....focus suck. But my father, had three F-150 and one F-250 during the last 11 years, he did OVER 300 000kms on the three F-150 and 200 000km on the F-250 (it was the company truck and they closed....) i like ford for their truck, but their car don't have the same...respect
But he saw, with his three F-150, that the reliability was decreasing by the time, the last one was the worst, always broken, or stupid stuff like a tree branch breaking a wire...and he lost his speedometer and rpm why the wire wasn't protected?...

well the ford f150 is one of the best selling cars/truck from ford and i respect that but the thing i hate about ford is that once a car breaks... IT BREAKS!! the only ford that my family has owned was a ford bronco back in like 96. Not the huge moster truck ones but the smaller compact suv ones.
What happened was (at least what i was told) the belt around the alternator and PS snapped. it caused a fluid surge in the system that then snapped the timing chain and then engine piston snapped and shot through the block... THEN somehow caught on fire... and we only owned the car for about 5 months out of the dealership... Either it was coincidence that all that happened at once or we had really bad luck...
since then, ford was always a no go
