I know what you're saying man, trust me.
I'm simply saying that with all these companies making HID's these days it's like shoes - a size 11 should be a size 11 - inches are inches... right? But we all know how that goes...

RE: Where to buy HID?
My first HID kit (on Foxy 1) was 10000k. VERY blue, but slightly brigher than stock. Next was the 8000k mistake. I was sent 8000k by mistake when they were supposed to be 6000k. They looked just as purple/blue as the 10000k's, but slightly brighter (and bluish on the road as well). Then I got the REAL 6000k's...........GREAT light output. Pure white on the road, and a dark purple/blue from a distance when looking at the bike.
On my 07, I'm now on my 2nd HID kit (and still not quite happy with it). I went with a slim ballast kit at first (6000k). They were not nearly as bright as my old 6000k kit on Foxy 1 (so I blamed it on the slim ballasts). Got the larger ballst kit (this time going name brand and getting a Vision Pro 6000k kit on sale). But, still not as impressed (or as bright) as the 6000k kits from HID-Outdoor-Equipments store on eBay I got the rest of my kits from.
So, I might just have to order ANOTHER HID kit (this time in 5000k) from the eBay Store and see if that solves my obsession with getting the brightest headlamp. I'm VERY close to just getting a 50w HID kit, but I can see myself being blamed for Global Warming with the output that damned thing will have.
They also sell "digital" ballasts out there. I really don't have any experience with them, but they're supposed to reduce the amount of flicker (though, I don't have hardly any).
And in case anyone cares, OEM Audi, Mercedes, BMW's, Nissan's, Chrysler's, etc. now all use 4300k bulb temperatures. When HID's were the "NEW' thing, they all used different temperatures (some Bimmers getting up to 8000k's even). But now all of them are at 4300k because that's the brightest and whitest HID color temperature.

RE: Where to buy HID?
Blue Fox, why would you keep buying kits instead of just new bulbs? if the wattage is the same, the color temp shouldn't require a new ballast/starter.
I keep reading that the F2s have H4 bulbs as the base looks the same as what I have. The Sylvania on line catalog sucks with no motorcycles being listed.
Blue Fox, did you try a Silverstar before you did the HID kits? I have a Silverstar right now and it's way whiter and brighter than stock and am wondering if there would be that much gain considering the HID is one wattage only with no hi/low.
