Friend: "What are you up to?"
You:"About to ride Mike." VS "About to ride Samantha."

Like Kuro said personal preference, which would you rather say?

Side note: Hoppa in the 1000RR section has a couple of builds going on and he has some mythological name for his '06 that he deemed her with because of the luck, or lack of, that she brought to him very shortly after acquiring her. I thought that was pretty sweet.

My '98 cbr was just named "The F3" and now my '01 cbr goes by the handle "The 929". Sure its kinda boring but practical. Naming something thats inanimate with a girls name just never caught on with me, but too each there own.

My 1000F is called "Big Bird"
Because it's like a huge Spurwing goose - widebody but can fly all day and all night.
That's when it's running well, when it's not it's called %$#@***& !!!

I haven't named any of my trucks or bikes. I don't know why but I just find it stupid and don't see the point. No offense to anyone who has. Not trying to start a fight just a personal preference I guess. And it always annoys me when people refer to their vehicle/bike as a she or a he. It is not a person. It is a piece of equipment. Don't get me wrong I love my bike and truck. My girlfriend says I love them more than her which is not true. It's about equal , j/k but yeah my bike is my bike, not a boy nor a girl just my awesome bike.

Mike would be more appropriate than Samantha...
