what i cant stand !
Of course I don't know what the market is like in your area, but here in Ohio, we are looking at about 4 more weeks of riding for many people. So, if you are going to store a bike still next riding season, I probably am looking for a deal. Not your fault, but timing is everything. As a whole right now in the economy, it is a buyers market, not a sellers market. In the spring tradition has it that you can get more money and a quicker sale. As a guy who looks for a cheap deal, this is the time I look for boats and motors, motorcycles, etc. I have enough time to see what is wrong and all winter to make it right. Timing IS everything.
Looks like a sharp ride, couldn't see why your having trouble selling. I put up my F2 on Craigslist with pics and no **** 10 minutes I was getting calls, so many, that I thought about raising the price cause of the interest generated. I sold that bike in a matter of hours from posting it and it wasn't exactly a beauty queen, I mean, not beat up but it had it's battle scars, I sold it for 2,500...the buyer, some chick, looking for her first bike, got it...she asked if I would go any lower, and I said no, I'll have no trouble selling it for the asking price...sorry.....she was cool with it. She brought her guy friend over to test ride it and all. She handed me the cash for the test ride and the dude took off rippin it, came back, gave his nod of approval and she and I signed the title, done deal. Dont know hat the market is where you are, but 2500 for a good, well taken care of used sportbike is almost always worth 2500 round here, and it's seattle, rains damn near year round....
yea its in really good condition and runs great but evertytime i got someone interested they either flake don me to buy a cheaper bike or they low balled me on the price . i might try to sell it 1 last time before the weather gets bad.
I hate people that group all bargain hunters into the dumbass catagory. Now the busa dudes that you dealt with Havoc sounded like dumbasses but there are major nimrods on the selling end too and buyers have to cut through the crap. There are too many bikes on cycletrader.com that are being sold at sentimental value rather than true value. There are also a lot of people that think they can pass the mantinence costs onto the buyer and it's bull****. I'm not paying an extra $400 because you replaced the chain and sprockets 2 months ago. So quit bitching about how every nitpicker is the devil and meet your new best friend EBAY.
