What handles better?
^ LOL really??
Cars can turn better or handle better as the OP asked not what is faster in a straight line. Look at your contact patch at a full lean, not much there. No take the contact patch on a sports car, Big difference. If you have ever rode in a real sports car it is pretty easy to figure out.

cars might have a larger "contact patch" but are also avg 5x more heavy. They need the extra grip.
When you watch hard turns in racing vids in slow mo, you see one side of the cars tires making contact, and the other side barley making any at all, or even airborne.
Cars might be easyier to drive, especailly with thousands of dollars in tech, but that doesn't mean there allot faster. It's really all up to the driver.

The whole cars are faster then bike thing is bunk imo. They allways have full blown race cars against stock bikes. If you look at the Horspower to weight ratio's to be fair you would need a 250 hp bike at least.
And unlike cars, motorcycles will show the differnce in skill between riders right away. Any tard can hop in and make a porsche go fast. Especailly with the modern computers in the car taking care of everything.
Some english TV show had a Ducati VS the new Lambo. The first time it was pretty much equal. The second time they had an actual Motocycle racer go against the lambo, and he freakin killed it.
I think on the street bikes are way faster then cars, it just depends how much much you value your life and wanna push it :P

Regardless, bikes take skill to ride, are more fun to ride than a car is to drive (especially in the twisties) and tend to smoke just about anything on 4 wheels in a straight line. So cars corner better? Who cares.
Cars may be 5x more heavy, but they also have about 10x the contact patch. Our patch a few inches, there's is about 2 feet or better. So even if you factor in their extra weight a sportscar still has an extremely better weight/grip ratio than a bike. Just plain math gives them twice the contact patch per pound as a bike using these rough figures, at least.

I agree with Roger and others here but Absolutely don't consider myself a expert but I have been riding for more than 20 years and have worked as a private military contractor for couple of years and a graduate myself from the US Training Centers Tactical and Pursuit Advanced Drivers Program but not the wheelman for my team but will tell you the wheelman for my team can maneuver a heavily laden suburban in reverse through and around obstacles at speeds of about 100+ kph that I would have a hard time maneuvering a bike through and he's in reverse so in the real world stealing a line from Jules with a properly trained individual behind the wheel the bike will always lose in the corners and depending on the vehicle on the straightaways I am truly in love with the 2008 BMW 760Li and the 12 cylinder with a little modification has 500 + hp I have been a passenger in one of these in a tight corner at 230 kph that Mat Mladin, Ben Spies or Valentino Rossi probably couldn't handle at that speed so my money's on 4 wheels

The 600 vs 1000 corner abilities is also a myth (for the most part). 600s are generally shorter and lighter, therefore easier to flick around. But when it comes to most track environments, there's no need to flick anything because the turns are fairly open and high speed.
ahh makes sense but ...
