I was kind of wondering about this also. I have noticed on the 929RR that sometimes there will only be the middle light one when I KNOW IT HAS 3 HEADLIGHTS!!! Why is this? Is this a new gang thing also? "The Middle Lighters" or "Middlers"??

That must be a new gang or some sort of malfunction.... Better get that checked.

It's the high and low beam. There are ways to make them both on without doing a projector mod. How-To Dual Headlight

So I took my bike to the stealerhsip to get the headlight figured out and now I am part of a gang. When I told them my problem, I got "jumped" in. Not too much rash, had mesh jacket on, helmet protected face/head, my new A* SMX-2 AC Gloves were instramental in me surviving. "Middle Lighter Por Vida, Ese!"

Headlights are for noobs and sissies. I unhooked both of mine years ago.

You had to. Out in the wilderness where you live, headlights attract Bigfoot!

By now you know that Honda designed it this way - one is low and the other only comes on when you enable the high beam switch.

I read somewhere that the reason they designed it this way is because in the middle of the night someone in another vehicle could perceive your dual beams as a car much further away and pull out in front of you.
