HAHA nice. You are so lucky. Every time I have ever been pulled over I've gotten a ticket. Two have lowered it down to 9 over, but still :/

 

I know we don't condone illegal or unsafe riding so don't take this the wrong way.
I uhh, have a "friend" who has been pulled over traveling well in excess of 100 mph, on two separate occasions, and not received a ticket on either occasion. First time on rt. 495, the beltway around DC, in Virginia and the second time was on Rt. 295 in Jacksonville, Fl.
All I'm saying is showing the proper respect for your local LEOs can go a long way toward lessening the severity of any "Dumbass Awards" you may earn.

 

+ 1 on the "stay cool" note. I have been very lucky in not getting caught uh I mean pulled over, but on the two occasions I remember, that is the method to lessen the chance of a monstrous ticket.
Once I even told my riding buddy to shut up as he was giving the trooper a lot of lip. Pull over quickly and safely, use your signal, speak intelligently and his name is either "officer" or Sir.
In my experiences, I don't say I didn't know I was going that fast.That implies non attention,I get embarrassed( as close as I can at 62 to a boyish grin) and say well, just having fun,didn't see anyone else on the road,so....
They are out there for everyone's safety. I don't jam in traffic, and weave through cars and that kind of behavior. I think letting the officer know, yeah, my fault, I thought I was cool, but you are right,I can slow down.Your attitude has a lot to do with their attitude.At the end of it, hell I WAS speeding, if I get caught, cant be mad at the LEO

 

Troopers in va are more of a pain in the ***** then city cops. Troopers don't normally let people go here.

 

The rest of the video went something like.. "Now Mr. Coffman.. as you approach my cruiser, remove your pants so I can verify you don't have any weapons..." Kidding...

VA is one of the most strict, as many of you know. You did walk away with minimal damage, especially from a Trooper. Honestly don't know if I could have done it any better myself. What was the secret?? Just a good driving record or some extra-cirricular activities (Hence the remove pants)
