Trying to be a quitter.
Yeah it's all in my head...
Problem is when it's not in my head, I become extremely vicious. Downright Evil. Absolutely no problem verbally eviscerating a total stranger for a blatant act of stupidity. And pretty near bloodthirsty, anticipating whatever may come if the person takes too much offense.
Yeah, that bad. I also try to substitute with candy so imagine that + sugar high
I'll try again soon. But honestly I need 1-2 weeks completely away from everything and anyone I care about. Can't lose my job for telling an idiot supervisor he's an idiot. Or making a Powerpoint presentation to highlight each individual failure of our manager (he doesn't understand anything unless it comes with a PP presentation).

Try e-cigs, My wife quit smoking after 3 months with them. Nicotine by itself, isn't that bad for you, it's the 4k+ other chemicals from combustion of tobacco that is really bad for you. But until you wean yourself completely from nicotine, this will give you a much safer alternative. Do the research, I think you'll find some pretty compeling data on using them as a smoking cessation/alternative device.

Keep losing the damn e-cig
Hey man, good for you. here's what worked for me. the way I understand it is that we human folk tend do do things in anticipation of pleasure, ie, riding your bike for the exileration and the rush. or we do things to avoid discomfort, ie we do maintainence on our bikes so we are not stuck in the shop rebuilding, or forking out a ****load of cash for repairs and parts, instead of Riding. So I had to focus on the pleasure I would get from some benefit of not smoking, rather than the discomfort of forgoing that cig. just what worked for me.
Like all they money you will save that will help pay for the bike when you dont feel like fixing it and it ends up in the shop lol. But in all seriousness. If you are having a hard time quiting. Write down how much you spend on cigs each time you by them and put the pieces of paper in a jar. after a month look at how many there are and add all of it up. That is just a month. Eventually (if not already) you will have kids. that could go towards a college fund or wedding.. you have better things to spend you money on and not to mention you could potentially die.
