Trying to be a quitter.
Ah man if the girls chimin in for ya aint enough then nothing is !!! ... lmao ... really though, good luck dude ...
I paid $300 bucks for my dad to attend some hypnosis sessions to quit smoking .... best investment ever we both say .... He's never stopped thanking me for that ... even around all his friends and family who smoke, he says he just don't have the urge to light up like he used to ... might be something to look into

You already set yourself up for failure by saying "try". There is "do" and "do not", no trying...
Ditch the "trying" and say "I am going to quit."
Figure out what your relapse triggers are and then you can form a plan on how to overcome them when you are faced with that situation.

Tom Cruise might say I'm being glib, but....
The secret to quitting smoking is don't smoke. You don't need patches, gum, pills, hypnotherapy, acupuncture, counseling, or support groups. If you want to quit you will; if you don't, none of that will help.

welll, its all will power really. I have quit twice, this time its been 6 months since ive hit a cig. (i only started cause i enjoyed it rather than it being controlling)
The first 3 days is what is the worst ( well call it a week)
Then 8 months later it will hit you like a freight train again.
Its all in your head man... just let it go. replace it with something else.

I quit cold too. My girlfriend made it clear that if i wanted to go long term with her it would need to go. It was not easy and I still get cravings but I did it. My biggest issues was remembering times when i used to be enjoying a cig and trying to ignore those cravings when I am doing the same activities. Thing's like working on the bike, shoveling snow, driving home from work, drinking, summer nights, all just remind me of times when I used to light up.
