Can anyone explain in detail Trail Braking?? When to do it, What to do, What Not to do, Why to do it. Thanks.

on the street there is no good reason to do it. Unless you are a Rossi or a Hayden

Thanks for that link M. I know that trail braking w/ the rear brake should be left to professionals..but realistically how hard is it and what effects does it have on the bike? I know if you put too much rear brake into the turn, you could highside.

 

Trail braking is not done with the rear. It is done with the front. By using the front brake a smidge you shorten up the trail (as in rake and trail) and make the turning geometry more aggressive.
