For anyone in the automotive industry...you know a can of this stuff is the miracle do all clean all mr clean of bad assery. From bug repellant, to starter fluid, this **** will do it ALL.

Had a ton of gunk build up on my rear rim/swing arm... so after 30 mins of pure dawn and gritless gojo... scrub scrub scrub... it just smeared the grease around more than anything. Forgetting my tried and true method here... 15 second of spraying it down with brake cleaner and watched every single last spot of grit, grime, grease, and uglyness just melt away. I got the bike used...so i was unaware that the rear rim was actually supposed to be glossy black lmao. looks awesome now. wish I would have snapped a before and after pic.

if anyone tries this I suggest having a bucket of soapy water to wipe it down almost immediately to avoid any type of unwanted.....incidents.

a little different but Im giving my props to "pb penetrating oil" ...I had some header bolts over the weekend I couldnt break loose tryed wd-40 and a couple of other oils and went and boughts some pb oil and she broke her free!!!....just sayn

 

+1 on PB... liquid wrench is a life saver too.

side note... brake clean will kill a wasp mid flight lol. add lighter for bonus effect.

 

If you get grease on your clothes hit it with some brake cleaner before you wash it and it should come right out. Had to do it hundreds of times.

 

I use Turtle Wax's F21 foaming wheel cleaner on all my hard parts. Its a spray on, hose off job n actually does the job quite well.

Last I used, brake clean wasnt to paint friendly

 

Really. I use brake clean on my paint all the time and never once had an issue.

 

I know brake fluid will do wonders for the paint but haven't had an issue with cleaners

I use brake cleaner to get sticker residue off glass, seems to work better than almost anything else

 

well most def removes the wax

 

I like kerosene for cleaning swingarm/chain/rim area. Just as fast and way cheaper. Just my

 

yeah ive never had a problem with it on paint either.... it does however do an awesome job at immediately drying out your eyeball if it drips off the underneath of a vehicle and happens to hit you when you werent wearing safety glasses... lol.
