the gas here sometimes is total crap.....I have cleaned that white goo and crap out of way to many carbs both auto and bike. and yes alot of the time it is vehicle that sat for prolonged periods.....

are any new bikes even carbed anymore?? last carbed bike I had was a honda magna VF750

Our petrol is really good here and very clean with high detergency etc ... I know CBRs were carbed until 2000 and also a lot of smaller bikes are still carbed ...

I have never had clogging issues...even with older systems like the bosch mechanical tjhat prosche used......good filter.. high quality fuels....yes there is such thing as cheap gas. that lil joint on the corner run by arabs with a sign that just says "GAS".[:'(]

also i an REAL OC about my bikes......I use an old knee high stocking over the fuel nozzle just in case. check and clean filter regularly. I ride alone and usually way out in the middle of nowhere. getting stuck ....cause of dirty gas.... seriously sucks

Me too Pam :-) .. I love being out in the wilds on the bike, no one for miles around ..finding a nice lake to sit by and have some lunch ... I love to take pictures and my bike lets me get around fast to find the best spots :-)
