Thank you Steve, I suppose I need both their wet weights to make a reasonable comparison ..I am sure its significant though ...
I hear conflicting things on FI ..some say its jerky and not as smooth or has a problem coming off overun back to on the throttle ..maybe the Honda systems are better than others??

and if those things were true about injection ...do you think injection would still be around. only time any of those issues would crop up is if something is terribly wrong....and in that event carbs would be no different. plus carbs tend to clog up where as in jection(with the higher pressures involved) don't

Pam, my carbs only ever clogged up once after 8 years and that was because I went through a winter without running the bike up at all ..I have never had problems with carbs on bikes before that are in regular use, also the F3 in particular like most Hondas carburretes beautifully smoothly and glitch free :-) .. also I would have thought injectors clogg up too if not used for long periods??
