I don't see why everyone is saying a tv show will give sportbikes a bad name. They already have tons of DVDs out being sold at motorcycle dealers, Best Buy, Circuit City, you take your pick they are probably there. Its not like its the first time we have seen this so give it a break. I see stuff all the time about drifting a car on TV, but thats ok but as soon as someone takes a perfectly good bike that they pay for and turn it into a stunt bike it pisses you off. And you say use it for what its made for, but you are cruising on the streets with it? I'm pretty sure these bikes weren't made to pimp around town with. If you have the money to do track days, more power to you, but not everyone can afford the $175 for the day pass + your food and parts for you bike if you go down and a new set of tires every weekend you do a track day. But if you go down you are ruining a perfectly good bike so just leave the damn thing sitting in your garage since you are too afarid to see a scratch on it. I even tiped my bike over in my driveway and scratched it but you don't see me on here crying about it, **** happens and if you ride it will happen sooner or later. Also I want someone to show me the facts about the deaths involved in stunting then give me the facts about the motorcycle deaths linked with high speed. Me personally I have never heard of anyone dieing form stunting a bike, but have heard of plenty of people riding like their retatded doing 100+mph through the corners and got hit by a car or hit a tree. But if you don't like something that someone does with the bike that THEY pay for just leave it alone, I think its stupid for someone to spend their money on race plastics and to ride on a track for a few hours, but you don't see me bashing them for what they do.

Hate me bacause I stunt with my bike, I don't give a f**k but then don't get pissed if I hate you because you ride your bike like a *****. Go ahead and ride around the corners well above the speed limit, I do that too but don't bash people that pull the front wheel up and ride past you on the straights and still stay infront of you on the corners too.

I'm glad a half hour TV show really shows you how the sportbike comunity is, its about time. But I also like how it brings out how bad the sportbike comunity is when you actually read through this post.

Its too bad that these guys don't know how to ride their bikes and that they are just trashing them LOL, but the bikes belong to them and if they want to cut up the poor, helpless bike that Japan put so much R&D into they can HAHAHAHA. Its great how it hurts you guys to see those bikes like that.

I've got more, but just remember that these guys pay for their bikes and they pay their tickets when they get busted. Now don't start crying cause you can't do it and tell me how stupid they are for stunting, but we live in this beatuiful free country where we have the right to do stupid things LOL. Now you post up your videos from your tank cam from the last time you were riding down the street going well above the speed limit so all of us reckless stunters can start bashing you LOL

One of two things on the cuttin up a new bike. Either squids pay for a new ($7K or more) bike and cut them up to stunt. Motorcycles aren't cheap and if you think they are I wish I was you. My 03 6RR was stolen. I wonder how many bikes were stolen to be stunted because they were smart enough not waste their own money. I love watching crash vids. Keeps things in perspective and lets other people know how dangerous ALL TYPES OF RIDING ARE.

 

Superbikes sucks. Plain and simple. Nothing wrong with stunting as long as you're not breaking the law when you do it. But on Superbikes and all the stunting DVDs for sale most the people are doing that crap illegally.

If you like riding on one wheel so much, get a unicycle.

The real problem I have with Superbikes is that it's sold as a show that's designed to represent sport bike riders. Almost all sport bike riders can do wheelies, however only a small percent of sport bike riders spend the majority of their time riding stunts. The biggest population of sport bike riders are recreational street and track riders that ride responsibly, within the limits of the law, and actually help make the roads safer for all people. Unfortunately, this was not the group of riders portaid on Superbikes. This show is just fuel for further legislation to restrict and regulate motocycles in the USA.

Disappointing, especially considering that this show was produced by one of the very few networks who's sole purpose is to promote motorsports.
