i didnt watch superbikes because i forgot it was on but, just to let you guys in on something. the host of the show is Jason Britton , ICONs posterboy. one of the best stunters in the entire WORLD, he cut his first video in like 1999, urban assault 1&2,,get on up 1&2, revolution 2004, revolution 2005, a couple others and some best of videos(he does have some canyon videos too, draggin knee better then you). and he was the main stunt man in both bikerboys and torque.dont forget stunting started on the street. i dont get how you guys dont like stunting just a little bit??? if it wasnt for the stunting ,sportbikes would be 1 thing. all we would ever get to see is racing. but nobody would celebrate with wheelies and big burnouts they would just ride around the track and wave. BUT HEY AT LEAST WE WOULD HAVE A BUNCH OF STRETCHED AND SLAMED BIKES. are we trying to be more like choppers or are we trying to be different. the sportbike community is getting worse at conforming then the choppers are. i have seen so many stock looking bikes getting nominated for bike of the month. i was thinking about going out and buying a brand new bike and putting some exhaust on it so i could win. i dont give a **** if stunting gives you "straight laced, dont do a damn wheelie i only cruise town and take corners once in a while" street bike riders a bad name. stop being a damn mommas boy and start riding a damn crotch rocket. keep riding conservative that way when somebody yells do a wheelie you can take a corner really fast in front of them so they can see it!!
so i think it is cool that they are starting to focus on stunting. as opposed to touring bikes and 10000000000 choppers & harleys all day. sport bikes are not about just taking corners, sitting in front of your house all shiney taking a picture for botm, stretching and slamming and putting 700lbs of chrome on them. let start being different then choppers and harleys!! if you dont wanna do wheelies and stunt then fine dont but dont rip on it everytime you get the chance because there are some people that like to. i am getting sick of it.

I watched the whole thing, hoping it would get better. Guess what...it didn't! I can see squids doing wheelies on the streets on the way to work. What's the big deal with that?

I also tivoed the show will watch later this week. I think that there's nothing wrong with stunters if thats what they want to do, I prefer the twisties myself but thats my choice. These bikes of ours are great bikes to stunt, show, cruise, or ride the canyons and this website welcomes all riders so even if you don't like to stunt, no one on this forum can honestly say that they don't enjoy watching a good stunt show. Personally I love 'em I just don't want to participate in one.

Well being that we are all entitled to our own opinion. I am a rider true and through. After having raced drag bikes for 10 years, amature 250 class mx and sx racer for 4 years, and always had all kinds of bikes (cruisers, wannabe sport bikes, sport- touring) I am totally into everything but all show and no go. Superbikes was okay. BTW, corbin's ride on had a cool skit about racing school down in alanta. I ride to ride, whether it's the twisties, trying wheelies (which I stink at), burn outs, mods to the bike, whatever. The only part I don't care for is when your out tooling around the harley guys that have bikes that go potata-potata-POOOTAAAATTTAAA-potata, don't wave.

Anyone watch the motocross files? That's pretty good too. I agree, gregg's garage was better than freakin all the nascar shows. I use to like it, but now they've killed it.

Why is everyone so negative towards stunting? I'd rather watch that than some nascar or motogp for that matter. The one reason that I dislike MotoGP is that everyone has a hardon for Rossi, whats the big deal? Don't bash me because hes your favorite rider, he has been sucking and whenever I watch motogp thats the only name I ever hear. The camera is always on him, if there is a battle going on for 1st they will show rossi in 12 place the whole race. How cares, he had his victories and I respect that but its time to focus your attention on someone else for a change. The last MotoGP race that watched was the one in Holland where Nicky Hayden won right at the end, but my wife was watching the race with me and I was asking me "who is this rossi guy they keep on talking about, is he leading?" and it was the first race she has watched . Like I said, I mean no disrespect to Rossi but he has had his spotlight for a long time and there are alot of better riders now that they could spend some time with.

Back to the stunting, whats the problem with it, besides the kid who has had his bike for 2 days and wants to know how to wheelie? You have to give the guys credit for all of the money they have spent on repairs and tickets and laywers, but they have paved the way for other guys who want to get into it. Give "Superbikes" a chance and at least watch it or else there won't be any shows with sportbikes on anymore, it will all be hardlys and choppers 24/7 and who the F**K wants to watch that crap all the time. So what if they had some guys with streetfighters on the show? Some people like those bikes so don't disrespect them or what they like. I didn't really like the show either, but I'm going to watch it no matter what because I like to see other shows besides some dumbasses building cookie cutter choppers that look like sh*t that you can't turn with and will get beat in every way by a Kawasaki ex250, and the show has been on for years.

One more thing, about the Icon Gear, do some research, Jason Britton (the host of superbikes) is sponsored by Icon and has been even before this show was even thought up. I'm willing bet that the show gets better, some of the guys probably haven't spent that much time infront of a camera before and they need to "warm up". Plus Greggs show was 90% about racing and it sucked too because they were trying to cram a week of racing and reviews and interviews and who knows what else into a half hour show. It had some good pionts, but it had alot more downfalls IMO. And what about a show that follows a rider trying to make it in the AMA or MotoGP, sorry but that just sounds stupid and too "reality TV". Its too hard for most people to get enough cash to get into a sport like that. You need some big sponsors to drop ALOT of cash to get into racing like that, how much do those bikes cost? Something like a few hundred thousand dollars to have a bike that compeats, mabye all of the rich guys will watch that and then go pay someone to race their stuff.

To Each Their Own I Guess

No Hard Feelings
