stupid mistakes = drop

RE: stupid mistakes = drop
When I was riding my 250, I was parked on the street at a friends. His road was way higher in the middle than the sides so on my kickstand my bike was pretty much straight up. I had him pick up my new Sport Demon tires. They were taped together and I thought I could put them on the back seat and strap them down. I slung them up and on the back and the bike tumped on the curb. Busted my brand new flush mount blinker!!!! Put a couple scratches on the bike too.

I was just comming in one early morning, out running errands and all, and pulled into my driveway, and then into the yard as I was going to wash the bike, well, get off the drive and onto the early morning, still wet grass, and washed the front out. I picked it up about as fast as I laid it down, grass and mud stuck here and there. No permanant damage, just a big ole WTF!

Only been on my bike about 3 or 4k miles now. Not dropped yet, but I almost hurt myself stopping the almost drop. I stopped and put the bike in neutral and shut it off. Went to lean the bike onto the kickstand, but then realized it was not down! The bike was half wy down when I managed to finialize the "catch" and start pulling it back up. It's amazing that a bike that feels so light while riding can feel so heavy when it's dead weight. My back was sore for a day or so, but at least I didn't drop it.

RE: stupid mistakes = drop
My wife was going to follow me to the shop for my 600 mile service, and didn't look in her rearview mirror and as she backed out of our drive and ran right into me. She thought I was under her car for a few moments (I milked that for a bunch of sweet *** bling for the bike). Then, one time, I had come back from a ride, pulled her into the garage, set the kickstand, and went to get off. I hadn't gotten the kickstand ALL the way down though, and she started to go over. Well, I had to put my intestines back in after, but I was able to keep her upright. Then, there is my wife...I have had to help her up numerous times (once up an embankment).
