so im in the doctors office today and i get a phone call from my roommate, he says theirs an investigator at my door wanting to talk to me about my bike. now im the 2nd owner of this bike, the guy i bought it from had more paperwork than i cared to look at, dating back to when he bought it in florida in 2002. it was stolen from him, and then recovered a few days later, over 2 years ago. now i get investigators knocking on my apartment door, talkin about my $hit being stolen, then he realized that one of his idiot coworkers never filed the paperwork for the recovery even tho 9 months ago i took title, and registration clean and clear, now they come to me what the hell man, i wish i knew where he lived so i could smoke a cheerio into his driveway

 

so they thought your bike was stolen from you, or you had stolen it? either way thats some funny ****.

 

JZ, sorry for the hassle... but i'll bet those that have posted "bike stolen", are finding solice in the fact, that here months later, some one is still trying to find a stolen bike... cool, alot of times, they just end up strip'd and gone. for those out there... maybe your bike will be found too!!!!!!!!! i dont know what they were thinking it was recovered like 2 years ago, and the title has since changed hands, youd think they woulda said something when i went to get the registration

 

Nicely said....whether it was a screw up or not nice to know they were doing their jobs!

 

I don't mean to sound rude, but who cares if they take five minutes of your time? They are just trying to do a job, and somebody messed up along the way with the paperwork. I hope you're boss isn't as unforgiving as you. +1 on them still working to try and recover a stolen bike after all this time

 

Well, I just hope that there is a cop knocking at my door in a day......week.........month??????year??????? My 02 954rr with 5300 miles on it, which I STILL OWE 8 grand on turns up sooner or later..... If anyone knows someone who came up on a 02 954rr red black in the Florida Area let me know please....
