its nice to see that some people still have some decency, compassion, and common sense

 

I had a similar experience with Westjet. My Grandmother passed away and I was to deliver the eulogy. The weather was -53C (the spray becomes ineffective at -52C) with the wind chill and the de-icing spray was freezing in the trucks at the airport. They had to heat the trucks up in a hanger before we could take off.
I let the flight attendant know my situation and she told the pilot. We were almost an hour late leaving the ground and we arrived only 10minutes behind schedule.
I have not hesitated to use Westjet since.
