Default A spooky morning .....

We often get a lot of mist first thing in the mornings here ... especially on
the colder days, I took these back in spring actually, it was just one of those
mornings ... I was up early and out and about with the camera ...

it was so beautifully still and calm, it was like walking around in another time........

I like the first shot of the lock near where I live :-)

Nice, what do you shoot with?

I know everyone has their own style/equipment limitations, but have you thought about focusing on thing further out, and blurring the close up stuff.
Like on your second shot the red of the boat as opposed to the tree in the forefront or on the last shot a head stone further back. To me it would make things much spookier/ create more of a impact.

I love messing with depth of field, it is one of those things I just like. exposure time is another for certain effects.

that is one of the beautiful things about Europe, everything is old and stately. Here in the US if it's old or in the way they tear it down and put up a new building. there are some nice newer buildings, but none of them have that archetechtural flair that the old buildings had.

Thank you for the comments guys, believe it or not all the pics I post were taken with an ancient compact camera, a 2004 Sony V3 ... but, it does have a larger sensor than all these tiny high MP compacts out today and it's combined with a Carl Zeiss lens, it's 7Mp and I think it's images knock some of these modern cameras into a cocked hat.

I have yet to venture into DSLR territory yet although recently I bought a 2005 Sony R1 that takes amazing pictures which some say rival a lot of DSLRs of even today :-)
