Bad Morning....
So, friday was halloween as u all know
well i was up til about 5a (saturday), then i finally fell asleep
at 8:30a, my buddy from the apt upstairs calls me (he has a harley and we share a parking spot)
well i ingore the call cuz i was asleep, i hear him walk down the stairs and knock on our door
he comes in and is like "Dude, get up and get ur bike off of mine"
and im like "wtf ru talkin about"
and he said "ur bike is laying on top of mine"
and i look out the window and my bike is leaned over to the left, balancing on its kickstand and front tire and his harley
so we walk out there and take it off and theres a small dent in his bike, and a small crack in my tail fairing in front of my passenger seat (right above those little pegs that stick out)
obviously some deushe bags coming home drunk from a party or somethin thought itd be funny but needless to say i was so pissed
i couldnt even go back to sleep so i just ended up staying up all day
but i just wanted to share, unfortunately i know there are other stories like this, and most likely worse, but its just frustrating
why are ppl so ignorant?
O well i just wanted to share and also, what can i do to fix this crack?
ill take a pic tomorro and post it, so it may be easier for u to give advice once u can see it.

Sorry to hear about that mate and you are right , it happens way too often
Wouldn't you like to catch the buggers red handed ! .....
by christ they would get a double serve from my fists mate if I caught them at it ..
not much you can do though hey ...
Post a pick and we all can see how bad it is and perhaps come up with a few suggestions for you as to how to repair it ..
sorry again mate [X(]

That sucks man i'm sorry. if the crack is small super glue is your best friend. if it's big you can fill it with a hot glue gun and then some touch up paint works great.
a two part exopy works well too. you can usually get them at autoparts stores for about 5 bucks. thats a good approach as long as your notgoing to repaint, as in you just want to stop it from cracking more.
If you want to repaint, I would get a drill and drill a hole at the end of the crack. This will stop the crack from going any further. I would then take a saw blade, or cut off wheel and cut down the crack so you end up with a slice instead of a crack. then, take a file and bevel the outside of the fairing towards the inside. this will allow a place for the epoxy to bond to the outside, the middle, and the back of the fairing creating a very solid bond. You can then sand the outside smooth and there will still be a good amount of epoxy on the outside to hold it together.
Another approach, I would do all of the same steps but instead of epoxy, you could use fiberglass resin. You can pick it up just about anywhere. autoparts, walmart... ect. I would also suggest using a couple of fiberglass sheets on the inside.
If your handy with autobody supplies, go with the fiberglass, if not, go with the epoxy.

Yer ..DB has it correct .... if you are not going to paint (if the crack is pretty clean) a good epoxy to use is that 2 part ribbon or block stuff... rough up the rear surface , squish the epoxy together ..mold it on the back ...strong as buggery ...
It will stick to near anything (if its on the inside you cant see it)
and you can sand and drill it if need be from the inside too ...
good for strength and good to work with ( its easy ) no mess!..
but until we see the pics , I suppose we are guessing mate

I live within staggering distance to 3 pubs & a club (12 if you don't mind a 20 minute walk), so we get a lot of pissed people walking home, usually its just people coming home from a good time. One night we had some dicks rip all the side mirrors off every car in our street (its a long street). Sometimes its wheelie bins upended or broken bottles etc. Must seem real funny to these ******* at the time. I suspect though that you had the usual drunk sitting on your bike & going 'broom broom' & being the retards that they are, had now idea of how to lean the bike back on its stand.
Sorry to hear about wot happened, getting your bike damaged for no good reason is one thing that would **** off any bike owner to the absolute max.
