Sorry been gone and sick

Well I will say as a very avid hunter myself and proud of it. I try to be "out of sight, out of mind". I don't need to add fuel to those that are opposed to hunting. I have always been able to borrow a pickup or drain the deer well and place a plastic sheet down in the car. Yes, I have taken large deer as well. Look for my name several times in the P&Y record book.

I am happy for you that you got your deer and I hope you can continue to hunt. There is nothing wrong at all with showing your hunting bag to those who are hunters or are not offended. But, just like bike owners with excessive loud aftermarket pipes, if you are offending enough people, soon there will be no aftermarket pipes. Kind of like the out of sight out of mind, if I am not offended by your noise, I don't care about your aftermarket pipes. Like you said yourself.
I am only asking you to exercise caution with what you show to non-hunters. This is what will strip hunters of hunting by the non-hunters who cast a vote. That is all.
I got quite a few stares, horn honking, and leers as I drove back to town though.

You're right, about a little flashing around. I always slip my deer home and take care of it there. If it is a good deer (high scoring rack) it is funny how the word ripples through the local hunting community. There will be cars and trucks lined up in the driveway to see the deer. I have had people tell me, that they stopped at my house at 3am on the way home from work to see it and they never woke me up. My wife laughs at it all and refers to it like you would a funeral visitation. All the guys coming to look at the deceaced, like a viewing.
