I was driving home today listening to the radio, they were talking about future for electric powered cars, gas powered and the way to make them more efficient and stuff, stuff about energy and stuff. I remember one of our professors in college said something about him having a diesel generator in the back of his house running of off veg oil and making enough power for the house. Well as I look to my left I saw **** load of people at the gym on those bicycles spinning those things away, man I had an idea to open my own gym, make them pay for it, and hook up generators to those bicycles and have them make me some power to run my whole house, haha.

 

if there was a way to store that electricity you got from them you probably could!

eggzachrey! or even capacitors. It's been done before though! :P I forget where I read about it but there is a gym where the bikes in it help power the facility. I don't see you being able to power the gym and enough to power the house but it is a good idea.

 

You cant create enough energy with them to be effective. It would be to hard to pedel. They do have some that create small amounts of energy that runs small stuff.

But I really want to hook up something for my boys video games. it would be cool to see thempedel a bike to make the TV run while their playing those games. Atleast they would get some excercise.

 

i actually just saw a video game commercial on tv for kids where they have to peddle the bike to make the video game bike to go...i thought why not just throw a power convertor on there than puts the power back to the tv

 

Or get a personal assistant and make them ride a bike that sits on a generator like Rob and Big did.
