Montana is another state that doesn't require motorcycles to be insured. When mandatory vehicle insurancelaws were going through our legislature many years ago, it supposedlywas the insurance companies that didn't want bikes included. Probably because they lost money on motorcycle policies. I can't think of any other reason they wouldn't want them. I have full coverage on my CBR.

 

I have full coverage as well. It just makes sense......they replace or fix the bike and pay for damage I may cause should something be my fault......

 

In New Hampshire you dont have to have insurance at all if your car or mortorcycle is paid off. I guess thats why our state moto is "live free or Die"
