You get what you pay for. I'm happy with paying a little more for Progressive b/c I already know they will take care of me FAST if anything happens.

Been with American Family for 8 years with cars. Bikes only in the last few years.

When you're agent comes to your house with your papers for a new car and insurance cards on some weekday evening... I'm sticking with that guy. 2 times he did this. The other time he didn't come to my house but he did leave his and meet me at the dealership.

I would vouch for Larry Dickens as an agent among anyone. I'm not saying that statement holds no water, however sometimes a deal is just that. A deal.

I pay $1500 a year for fullest maximum coverage on my new bike... it's actually cheaper than my old bike somehow.

$170.00 a year sounds like the type of place that will close up overnight when you make a claim.

I pay $1200 a year for full coverage in ontario, on a 06 600rr and I'm 26.

I have a 94 F2, and american family wanted $71 for full coverage. Progressive wanted $41, and state farm wanted $16. I went with state farm.

yeah.. Vpsophmore and inthemaking's prices seem more logical to me..maybe thats because thats what im charged..but then again..im 17.. almost makes it impossible just to find someone to insure me..progressive is the only one..and they are spendy..cant wait till it goes down.

Heh, in all honesty, I figured it would be around $500 a year. What you guys are paying is ridiculous and reminds me of when I was a kid (not poking)...

When I turned 16 I had to be the only kid in history who only wanted an old beat up 84 Ford Escort. I drove $1500 four-bangers until I was 24 years old and my rates went down, no joke. Since then I've had brand new cars and 1 and 2 year old cars. My premiums have NEVER been above $130 a month, actually if I paid annually it would have been just $1200.

I don't know what tosay but I assure you that my agent, who has been serving this area since before I'm driving, would most certainly be in business should I need to file a claim.

I never realized how much age and area affected premiums, apparently quite a ****ing bit. I feel sorry for you guys. I would NEVER pay $1800/year for 2 cars or 1 car and2 bikes. That's just facking nutz...
