In this state N.S.W. there are 2 types of 'P' platers (displayed on their vehicles), 1st when you get your license (green P's,) restricted to 90 kph, 0 alcohol, then the next red 'P', restricted to 100 kph, 0 alcohol limit.
Which is rather amazing cos I get passed on the Freeway all the time by these guys, with bikes they are restricted to power output, but roughly its something like a 650 single cylinder or 250 multi. That don't seem to have same rational with cars though, well they do, but if your mum or dad register the car in their name then you can whack your 'P' plate on dads Maserati or mums V8.
Young guys have been making the news a lot lately, lots of accidents involving 'P' drivers, including one recently on the Gold Coast in Queensland, where two people injured, one fatally, nothing unusual, happens everywhere right?, cept these guys got a friend to bring em McDonalds while they waited & watched the older couple in the other car get cut out, by police rescue.
