Not the way I would choose, but still and all, it IS two wheels.

They actually have a pretty low center of gravity, and if you don't subscribe to ape-hangers
they handle decently.

If he dumped as much cash as I bet he did, he might even be a safe, catious driver.
For fear of his baby, if not himself. ;-)

Wouldn't hurt to give him "The Talk" though, You know the one....
Dude, you are INVISIBLE, the only ones that actually SEE you are TRYING to run you off the road.
Be aware, ALWAYS have a PLAN and an hole-shot. And get some gear,
bro. Those jeans and tank-top ain't cutting it! ;-)

He said it perfectly, I'd keep stressing over gear and helmet. That's the only real problem I have with Harley riders, most don't wear any gear at all and almost never have a helmet. It breaks my heart to read in the papers of how a motorcycle rider was killed. Honestly where I live the death rate is about 5 Harley riders for every 1 sport-bike, most all sport-bike riders have on full gear. Atleast a helmet and gloves, the basic stuff.

night rod has 125 hp and 86ft-lbs of torque (F4 is 600cc, 110, 50.2 ft-lbs but half the weight naturally). Things that worry me the most are:
1.riding gears ( I will have to do a lot of convincing to get him to wear a full helmet)
2.the weight of the bike
3.his lack of riding experience, motorcycle knowledge

Tell him it's hard to pick up chicks with half a face. I had a get-off that SHREDDED
the chin-guard on the helmet I was wearing. If I'd been free-styling or using one of the
half-lids, I would have been minus a lower jaw. I wish I'd kept the helmet, it would have
been a convincing argument. As it was, I shook it off and rode the bike home.

Bugs also hurt like HELL with a half helmet.

A friend of mine who went down with a 60mph lowside. Just think what he would look like if he wasn't wearing it.

wow...first of all, I am very glad both riders walked away without injury. Thank God for that.

I really appreciated all the inputs guys. I am going to send this helmet picture to my brother and hopefully it will help him to realize the importance of wearing a full helmet.

chances are he was hoping not to wear a full helmet with a harley.. then again maybe he wants the mystery rider look with a full helmet and perforated leather gear..? give it a shot and convince him safety is the better way to go
